Tamarind Sweet in Shell / wihtout Seed / with Seed
Tamarind fruit grows on a tamarind tree, which can be up to 15-25 meters tall. Both the trees and fruits of tamarind and sweet tamarind look the same. This exotic-looking fruit has a pod-like shape and is often curved. As the fruit ripens, the brown shell separates from the meat and becomes thin and brittle. When you crack open the shell, you'll see sticky brown pulp covering black seeds.

Ginger (Fresh, Dried)
Ginger of commerce is the dried underground stem of the herbaceous tropical plant grown as an annual. The whole plant is refreshingly aromatic and the underground rhizome, raw or processed, is valued as spice. Ginger is a slender perennial herb, 30-50 cm tall with palmately branched rhizome bearing leafy shoots. The leafy shoot is a pseudostem formed by leaf sheath and bears 8 to 12 distichous leaves.
Sticklac, Seedlac, Shellac Flakes
The harvested sticklac is crushed and sieved to remove impurities. The sieved material is then repeatedly washed to remove insect parts and other material. The resulting product is known as seedlac. The prefix seed refers to its pellet shape. Seedlac, which still contains 3–5% impurity, is processed into shellac by heat treatment or solvent extraction.
Thai Betel Nut (Whole, Split)
The areca palm, cultivated in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines, has a slender, unbranched trunk reaching 12–15 metres (40–50 feet) high and about 45 cm (18 inches) in circumference and is topped by a crown of six to nine very large spreading pinnate fronds. The fruit is about the size of a small hen’s egg. Within its fibrous rind is the hard seed, or nut, which has a mottled gray and brown appearance. The unripe fruits are usually husked, boiled in water, cut into slices, and dried in the sun before being chewed.
