Dipterocarpus species trade variously as Gurjan, Garjan, Keruing (Malaysia/Indonesia) and Yang (Thailand). Contract documentation will state the exact botanical genus and commercial name.
Face veneers from 0.3 mm to 0.6 mm, and rotary core veneers from 1.5 mm to 3.2 mm.
Veneers are packed into export crates or heavy banded bundles with edge protectors and moisture-proof plastic shrink-wrapping.
Dipterocarpus species naturally contain oleoresin. For furniture and exposed use, kiln drying at high temperature is recommended to set the resin.
Government phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, certificate of origin, and independent tally report.
